Eating and Drinking in Berlin

Before going to Berlin I was a little worried about being able to find veggie food, after all isn’t Germany famous for sausages? But I needn’t have worried!  Berlin is full of food from all over the world so here’s what we ate… Wake up feeling peckish?  Head to Cafe Anna Blume and order the Anna Blume special.  You will be greeted with this 3-tier breakfast to tuck into.  This is the veggie version, they also have one with meat.  I opted for the camomile tea to wash it down with.DSC01269DSC01268 Or you may prefer to venture to your nearest supermarket and pick up some goodies to make your own breakfast at home.DSC00928 After walking off your big breakfast with a morning of sightseeing, stop for this giant falafel sandwich.  This was from a restaurant just opposite the memorial to the Murdered Jews of Europe.DSC00987 You may want to stop for an afternoon drink too.  There are so many cafes and bars everywhere!  You are spoilt for choice! I liked The Barn where they grind their own coffee.DSC01282DSC01284 DSC01285 DSC01287 And this cafe, hidden away behind a huge street art area.DSC01156Or find one with huge windows to people watch from.DSC01180 For dinner head to La Tia Rica for a Chilean meal and some pisco sour.DSC01240 DSC01241 Don’t forget to dip into Fassbender & Rausch amazing chocolate shop!DSC00968 Enjoy!
