Hit the road, go to Argentina! That sounds dreamy, but one of the millions things I love about Chile is that it is close to Argentina. You hit the road, cross the Andes and here you are in Mendoza, Argentina.
The tricky, risky thing about crossing the Andes and the border, which is at 3200 m altitude, in Winter is that it may snow and it can be closed! That is what happened to Marcella and I, three years ago, when we were in Mendoza…and we got stuck for 4 days… (read Marcella’ s recent post about our trip)
Luckily, this time I had a very sunny week end in Mendoza, where I enjoyed wandering around the squared city by day and by night, having breakfast at a French café, eating Milanesa (meat wrapped up in bread crumbs and cooked with tasty condiments) at a local restaurant, and having dinner at an Italian place.
I dedicate this post to Marcella, for her 26th Birthday and for running a 10k Marathon in London during the same week end I was in Mendoza. My trip was filled with memories of my previous one with Marcella.
Happy Belated Birthday Marcella 🙂
