It’s great to discover new places in your hometown. Especially when it’s the kind of place that you can’t wait to go to again! Brixton Village is a small part of Brixton Market that has delicious, small, homely restaurants and cafés with short menus, and tables outside. We wandered around eyeing up people’s food and browsing through menus. There is so much choice.
Colombian and French restaurants caught my eye before we settled on Mama Lan, excited at the thought of dumplings. We shared king prawn and Chinese water chestnut dumplings; woodear mushroom, spinach and vermicelli dumplings and fried vegetable balls served with sweet chilli sauce. They were all deliciously fresh and came out steaming and ready to be dipped into soy sauce.
I’m already thinking about which place to eat at next time! Have you been to Brixton village?

Ahh I cannot wait to go home to London and get everything pictured here. Looks delicious!
There’s nowhere like London 😉 Plus, I love the feeling of ‘travelling’ without travelling when you can get food from all over the world in a single place. Your trip looks great! I hope you enjoy the rest of it 🙂
