Canals make Venice famous. But, did you know there are miles of lovely canals crossing London? I certainly forget that sometimes!
Earlier this week we walked 5.7 miles of the 8.6 mile long Regent’s Canal. The canal winds from West to East London. We started the walk in picturesque Regent’s Park and finished in Hackney. It was a mostly sunny day and we got to see many interesting sights along the way – grand houses, art work, cute canal side cafes and of course, people watching. Along with lots of colourful canal boats and parts of the route showed where new meets old.
Have you ever walked along the canals in London?
