A Bob Marley Mural was created in Brockley, South London 40 years ago but was demolished in 2014. So, this year a Crowdfunding campaign was set up to create a new mural. It was painted this week as part of The Brockley Street Art Festival and I went to see it on Saturday. I was blown away by how amazing the piece of art was, which looked even better in the beautiful summer sun. The detail is incredible, especially in the eyes and I love how the bricks add to the texture of the mural.
The aim of the festival was to showcase murals in the area, and here were some of them that I managed to spot. Including this vibrant one on the front of a house.
And some lovely cherry blossom mosaics outside of the station, which looked perfect against the backdrop of blue sky.
Which is the best mural you have seen?

So pretty and vibrant! I really like the skeleton animal one!
I think that was probably my favourite too; it was a really creative design and I love how it took over the whole wall 🙂
Love love love street art! and all of these are amazing!!! So colorful and unique! I love the ‘the end is only the beginning’ quote! I’d have to say right now my favorite mural is one on a Madrid market that reads- Llena la vida de color or fill life with color! Obsessed with the quote!
What a lovely and very true quote, that must be a beautiful mural! 🙂
How cool, a street art festival?! I love the street art in London! When I was visiting in April, I went on an Alternative London street art tour, which I would recommend if you are into it. It was so interesting! And I just love that cherry blossom mosaic – gorgeous!
I’ve heard of those tours, they sounds great and really interesting. I love London street art too, especially discovering all of the new murals 🙂

Thanks Anna. The Bob Marley one definitely stole the show – it was so very amazing! 🙂
I love street art and these are amazing! They bring art and amazing colors to a city’s personality. Love it! The cherry blossoms are really cool and I love the one that looks like a break in the brick and you can see all the fish!
Aren’t they all great? I loved every single one, the colours were so beautiful 🙂
