I Can Sing a Rainbow

Colours are all around us; in the clothes we wear, the food we eat, the skies we live under.

But sometimes, in the rush of day-to-day life, we forget to look.  That’s why, when we travel we see colour so much more; in the walls, the houses, the nature.  It seems to spring out at us so much more than at home.

Really, the colours of the rainbow are everywhere.

Red and yellow and pink and green,
Purple and orange and blue.

I can sing a rainbow,
Sing a rainbow,
You can sing one too!

Do you see colour more when you travel?

  1. I always love your color posts, Marcella!! I was thinking – a little project you might enjoy (but I haven’t gotten myself organized enough yet to join in) is the Weekend Color Palette run by Lu of http://www.frauleinlouise.com/ – she chooses a color each week and then over the weekend you take photos of whatever small things you come across in that color!

  2. Ah, what a beautiful post! ‘Sometimes, in the rush of day-to-day life, we forget to look.’ This is so true … I love bright colours and am definitely more aware of them when I travel. I just returned from a trip to Ghana where there were so many vibrant colours … it made me super happy.

  3. Those purple pictures are amazing – I mean, that sunset is insane!! One thing that I always notice when traveling is that the sky seems to look bigger elsewhere than it does at home!

  4. Love color and as a result, love you post. The sunsets in here are out of this world. And, Conguillo National Park, you have to write more about that place. #wanderfulwednesday
